About
Hi, I’m Nina
Growing up as a first generation Taiwanese American in the SGV, the prescribed "recipe" for success was medical school or bust. While working in a radiation oncology lab, my body staged a full-scale protest. I’ll spare the gory details but well, I busted. After a week in the hospital, I finally heard what I couldn’t verbalize, my system was screaming : this isn't your path.
That detour led to a whirlwind career—climbing from an HR assistant in South Gate, Ca to the hustle of a Forbes Global Top 5 firm in NYC, navigating a decade of relocations, another career pivot, still trying to stomach the culturally prescribed life, suppressing the emotional pains and dismissing the cognitive dissonance my body signaled though persistent physical pains.
I’m now immenselty grateful for my body’s persistent nagging. Now, knowing how to listen and make sense of the data my body is revealing. Crucial decisions are accompanied by postural ease, not a tight stomach. New revelations, perspectives and ideas emerge constantly without trying. As I’ve finally cameto listen to, trust, and act according to my own senses I’m simply happier in my skin than ever before.
I’m not a gatekeeper; when there’s something that works so well, I share.
That’s why I created Somatic Intel - to share the science and applications that once seemed “woo woo” in somatic intelligence.
I help high-achieving, often gifted leaders reunite their sharp intellect, emotional sensitivity, with their most authentic, primal , sensing selves.
My joy is to partner with you in embracing all your intelligences and capabilities to enjoy your most meaningful personal and professional life in a body you’re at peace with.
I’m looking forward to meeting you,
Nina
